Job Description




As a Security Officer Patrol Response Specialist in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support daily operations with integrity, reliability, and teamwork while contributing to a professional and welcoming environment.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or public agency contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry, providing directions and assistance while following post orders and escalation protocols.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports on daily activities, incidents, and policy violations, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
