Groundskeeper

The Groundskeeper maintains hospital campus grounds and maintains the aesthetic appearance, presentation, and safety on a year round basis. May also perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment used in grounds-keeping activities.

Job Status: Full time, 40 hours per week.
Shift: Day, Saturday - Wednesday, 7am to 3:30pm. On-call rotation for snow removal October - March

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds by cleaning garages, parking lots, sidewalks, driveways, and patios. Removes dirt, sand, rubbish, leaves, and debris. Cleans outside elevators including elevator doors, walls, floors, ceilings, and control panels.
• Operates tools in accordance with safety policies and operation practices. Maintains and repairs golf carts, light utility vehicles, snow removal equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Operates and makes minor repairs to the grounds irrigation system.
• Submits work orders for any surface repairs or maintenance and self-performs and/or monitors follow up through to completion.
• Removes snow utilizing UTV and shoveling(from garages, sidewalks, and driveways. Also responsible for ice build-up prevention on public passage ways through the application of chemicals.
• Collects and removes outside trash from garbage receptacles, debris accumulated during landscaping or any debris found on public outdoor areas, per grounds maintenance schedule.

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Hourly Range: $17.40 to $26.09
