Salary Range: $94,306 - $125,768

Visionary Engineering for Combat Technology and Rapid-Response (VECTR) group is seeking a highly experienced subject matter expert (SME) and trainer, to train warfighters in the operation of VECTR software applications supporting Digitally Aided Fires (DAFS) and Digitally Aided Close Air Support (DACAS). Candidates will train US and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) operators at CONUS/OCONUS installations.

Essential Job Functions:

35% travel (CONUS and OCONUS).

Maintain expert-level knowledge on current Department of War (DoW) Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) processes and procedures, Digitally Aided Fires (DAFS) and Digitally Aided Close Air Support (DACAS) capabilities, methodologies and doctrines.

Have expert-level and detailed knowledge of VECTR mobile products, and current variants, with emphasis on DAFS and DACAS capabilities.

Maintain expertise in current DoW tactical networks and data links including VMF messaging, ANW2 networks, LINK-16, J-series messages, etc.

Evaluate current VECTR products against warfighter use cases, current CONOPS, and provide feedback to the VECTR tactical operations team.

Identify and document defects and desired improvements in current VECTR mobile products.

Advise VECTR leadership regarding operator-desired capabilities for VECTR products.

Provide periodic updates and status reports for both VECTR and company management.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, US Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's with minimum of 8 years of experience in relevant or related field, or Associates with 10 plus years. May also accept high school diploma w 16 plus years of relevant experience.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a clearance for continued employment.

High level of expertise with both direct/indirect fires, JTAC processes and procedures, DAFS, and DACAS within the US Department of War (DoW).

Five years' experience in working with DoW operational units coordinating fire support, such as JTAC, ANGLICO, FIST, or special operations units that work with DAFS or DACAS.

Well organized and able to self-manage, self-task, and coordinate travel and training at various locations.

Superb communication skills, able to interface well with warfighters and civilian DoW product team members.

Extensive experience with mobile products and end user devices (EUDs).

Desired Skills:

Experience with USMC organization, operations and doctrines.

Certified instructor/trainer through formal military school or equivalent certificate.

Has conducted 250 hours of formal military instruction for a formal military school.

Experience in working with product teams for DoW software.

Experience with DPSS products, both mobile and desktop.

Experience with other DoW tactical data / fire coordination platforms such as JBC-P, AFATDS, etc.

Business development and acquisition experience within the DoW contractor environment.
