North Wind Dynamics, LLC is an Alaska Native-owned Small Disadvantaged Business, specializing in infrastructure support services and facilities maintenance, base operating services, waste management, radiological services, security control, force protection, environmental services, janitorial services, professional, administrative, and management services.

POSITION PURPOSE:
Under supervision, performs work involving general roads and grounds activities such as weed trimming and mowing, and other duties that may be required. Operates mobile equipment such as commercial mowers, weed trimmers, and Utility Task Vehicle (UTV).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Operate commercial mowers
  • Operate weed trimmers and blowers
  • Operate UTV (JD Gators)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:


  • High School graduate (or GED) who is currently attending a secondary education program (e.g., technical college, university, etc.)

Skills and Abilities:


  • Ability to operate lawn care equipment for long periods of time in high temperatures
  • Collaborate with other North Wind personnel, take initiative, and work well independently.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions and to deal with problems involving variables in non-standardized situations.

Special Requirements:


  • Must be a United States Citizen
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Must be able to wear company-provided personal protection equipment when required
  • Must be able to operate a government vehicle
  • Valid driver's license and Real ID

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Experience with operating commercial mowers and weed trimmers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to walk, stoop, climb ladders, and kneel
  • Comfortable working in extreme and variable weather conditions, specifically with very hot temperatures during the summer months

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
The work is conducted both indoors and outdoors. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is normally mild to moderate. The employee will be exposed to moving mechanical equipment, machinery, and vehicles. The employee must be able to stand for long periods and walk across uneven terrain.
