Position: District Cooling Supervisor Nature and Level of Work: * Daily supervision and scheduling of personnel in the Chilled Water Production unit, including chiller technicians, mechanical maintenance crew and cooling tower technicians. * Utilize existing work order system to prioritize and track work, create preventative maintenance tasks for equipment, and maintain inventory of critical equipment components. * Manage tools and equipment resources required to accomplish work, including procurement and rentals as needed. * Schedule and supervise maintenance, repair and modification of facilities and equipment. Ensure reliable and efficient operation and maintenance of equipment for Chilled Water production. * Able to utilize computer, phone and tablet applications required for operations. * Possess conceptual knowledge of theories, practices and procedures used in Chilled Water distribution systems and apply this knowledge to complete routine to complex assignments. * Analyze and troubleshoot performance of large industrial chiller equipment including steam absorption, steam turbine, electric centrifugal and screw chillers and their refrigeration, cooling water, condenser and auxiliary equipment systems. * Research and analyze information and utilize standard practices to make informed judgements and recommendations on performance and enhancements to efficiency and redundancy. * Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines, noting when obstacles may impact outcomes. * Participate in new project review sessions and provide start-up and commissioning assistance for new equipment. * May work overtime and standby as necessary. 7:00 AM -3:30 PM / M-F Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
Anticipated Hiring Range
