Overview:

The Manager of Care Management is responsible for the direction, leadership and oversight management for the assigned Care Management departments. This position will also hold a full Case Management load. This position is designed to facilitate an effective process of the Mercy Care Management Model supporting quality patient care, patient safety and financial components; promoting integration of a seamless care model; coordinating patient throughput; collaborating with facilities to include leadership coordination as evidenced by metrics, optimizing performance and adoption of best practice.

Qualifications:

Education: Associates Degree in Nursing is required. Bachelor's of Science in Nursing is preferred.
Licensure: RN (Registered Nurse) in state of practice is required.

Experience: 3 years of clinical experience in case management or related field is required.

Certification/Registration: BLS (CPR) at hire date, required, or within 90 days of hire. Certification in Case Management preferred.
Other Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong verbal and written communication and facilitation skills.
- Strong assessment skills, time management skills, critical thinking skills.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Must have excellent customer service.
- Must have ability to interact effectively with a variety of people and situations at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of InterQual criteria preferred.

- EPIC experience preferred.
