  • Perform installation and commissioning of Self Optimizing Network (SON) products and systems.

  • Participate in SON product software upgrades and ensure 24x7 end-to-end technical support.

  • Maintain lab servers to proper hardware, software and firmware levels for use in testing and problem-solving scenarios.

  • Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems.

  • Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups.

  • Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access.

  • Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses.

  • Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.

  • Troubleshoot issues, conduct knowledge sharing sessions, and determine need for technical escalations.

  • Implement continuous improvement practices for SON products and related systems to address high process efficiencies.

  • Implement proactive measures to address customer concerns.

  • Participate in customer and internal meetings representing Nokia SON / Network Management team.

  • Create and deliver Methods of Procedures (M.O.P) to the customer.

  • Adhere to customer response times per Service Level Agreements.

  • Provide measurable input into new products, processes, standards or operational plans in support of business strategies.

  • Analyze, develop and implement concepts and solutions as a subject matter expert.

  • Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Dallas, TX may be permitted up to 60%. #LI-DNI


Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following:

  • Operating Systems: Linux and Windows;

  • Programming languages and tools: Python, Shell Scripting, Ansible, or Perl;

  • Virtualization: VMWare, and Openstack;

  • Databases: Oracle DB, Mongo DB, and MySQL; and

  • Technologies and protocols: Networking, GSM, UMTS, DIAMETER, XCAP, LDAP, IPv4/v6, TCP, IP, or DNS.

Domestic travel is required up to 50%.

Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Dallas, TX may be permitted up to 60%.
