General Job Description:

This position is responsible for leading a team specializing in BIM related software and processes, successful project execution, quality control, and team member mentorship including development of future BIM Team Leads and senior BIM staff.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop future BIM Team Leads and Senior BIM staff
  • Supervision, mentoring and training of BIM staff within team
  • Delegation of workload and oversight of project deliverables
  • Mentor and train BIM and Engineering personnel on BIM; workflows, software, and procedures
  • Independently delegate and manage workload and oversight of project deliverables
  • Review and quality control of team members work
  • Ensure team performance with respect to engineering project principles
  • Identify process improvements to project workflows
  • Understand and apply software updates, improvements, new features, ACCO BIM standards, revised workflows, etc.
  • Effectively and professionally communicate and foster collaboration with colleagues and project team members
  • Manage time to meet project schedules, budgets, and deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

Position Requirements:

  • Associate Degree or Technical Certificate in Engineering, Technical Drafting or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in BIM modeling role with 1 year in a role demonstrating leadership
  • Expert knowledge of BIM workflows, software, and execution plans
  • Strong knowledge of construction standards, construction materials, fabrication, and installation

Hours:

This is an exempt position from Monday through Friday. In general, work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm and are determined by the department head.
