CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager I to join our Electric Distribution Team in a remote capacity. This position offers the opportunity to manage impactful utility projects, collaborate with industry experts, and contribute to initiatives that enhance grid resiliency, storm response, and system reliability.



What You'll Do:

    Manage electric distribution projects from proposal development through completion, delivering safe, reliable, and cost-effective utility infrastructure solutions
  • Oversee all aspects of project delivery, including scope, budget, and schedule, while serving as a primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders
  • Coordinate contracts, purchase orders, and project documentation with clients, utility partners, and subcontractors
  • Lead project financials, subcontractor payments, and monthly review meetings with operations
  • Develop project-specific health and safety plans and ensure QA/QC compliance as determined by the Quality Management Plan
  • Communicate updates clearly to clients, management, and project teams to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, science, planning, engineering management, or a related field required
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience required; minimum of 2 years of project management experience required
  • Proven ability to manage scope, budget and schedule of technical tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and project management software required; knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal-with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, high-paced environment
  • Motivated self-starter who works well independently and supports management
  • Adaptable, calm under pressure, and skilled in problem-solving and negotiation
  • PMP, PE or equivalent professional license preferred

Salary Range:

$95,000 - $105,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
