Job Description
Coordinates the daily administrative tasks and operations of the Center for Resource Sustainability (CRS). These tasks include financial and budgetary matters, proposal submission, technology transfer activities, purchasing, reimbursements, management of the website, coordination of partners on multi-university proposals/grants, and everyday administrative tasks to operate the center. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and management of budgets for new and current research grants for affiliated center faculty
- Coordinate periodic research seminars involving the Center's affiliate researchers and students as well as domestic and international conferences
- Maintain website, social media, seminar, and conference flyers to ensure the Center's activities are clearly reflected in content and presented in a visually stimulating format
- Assist the Center Director along with the Director of Program Operations in formulating and enforcing Center policies, annual goals, and procedures to ensure projected goals and deliverables are achieved
- Works closely with office support students including interviewing, evaluating, managing, and organizing workflow. Schedule and coordinate the Center's staff and faculty meetings
- Work collaboratively with the Center Director and the Director of Program Operations to plan and implement Center activities as they relate to the CRS Strategic plan and 5-year self-sufficiency plans
- Collect and maintain a database for reporting requirements for departments, campus, university system, and sponsors as needed or requested
- Assist center faculty and students with travel authorizations, reimbursements, accounts payable, purchase orders, reconciliations of credit cards as well as management and billing of the equipment user fees
- Coordinate and input HR forms for CRS post-doc, graduates, undergrads, visitors, and staff. Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Operations or Accounting
- Demonstrated ability to organize multiple projects and budgets
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external entities
- Experience working with external funding agencies, i.e., National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, Department of Defense
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $18.87-$23.00 hourly. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
