Business Systems Analyst (Hybrid & Onsite in Blue Springs, MO)

Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment, has an opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst position. Fike is a privately held business located in Blue Springs, MO with over 400 employees locally & over 1,200 employees worldwide.

Job Summary:

The Business Systems Analyst serves as a bridge between technical capabilities and business objectives. The Analyst is responsible for eliciting and documenting comprehensive business requirements to ensure stakeholder needs are translated into actionable technical specifications. The role is responsible for mapping intricate system impacts, identifying high-value improvements, and managing the full lifecycle of change. Success in this role requires a proactive mindset and the ability to translate complex user needs into clear, technical stories that drive meaningful organizational growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering


1. Facilitate Collection: Lead requirement-gathering workshops with business leaders, process owners, and SMEs to define detailed functional, technical, data, and integration requirements.


2. Process Mapping: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for current-state and future-state business process flows.


3. Technical Design: Utilize diagramming tools and system specifications to translate complex business needs into actionable technical and functional designs.


4. Gap Analysis: Conduct thorough gap and workflow analyses to identify systemic inefficiencies and recommend data-driven improvement opportunities.


Systems Implementation & Salesforce Administration


5. Solution Delivery: Apply broad technical expertise to develop, implement, and optimize software solutions that align with global organizational goals.


6. Salesforce Stewardship: Serve as the primary point of contact for Salesforce design and development; stay current on seasonal releases to leverage new features and maintain org health.


Agile Project Management & Quality Assurance


7. Agile Collaboration: Contribute actively to a fast-paced Scrum environment, participating in sprint planning, execution, and project retrospectives.


8. QA & Testing: Lead the creation of project deliverables including user stories, test case development, and functional testing to ensure high-quality deployments.


9. Lifecycle Oversight: Provide analytical support throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial feasibility to post-launch hypercare.


Data Insights & Stakeholder Management


10. Communication: Maintain excellent rapport with internal customers; provide transparent status updates regarding project milestones, successes, and risks to senior leadership.


11. Continuous Improvement: Proactively conduct root-cause analysis for system issues and pursue ongoing professional development to stay ahead of emerging technologies.


12. Maintains confidentiality of all information processed.

Performs related duties as assigned. Regular and consistent attendance is required.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the environment is general office work and the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, hear, see, sit and use hands.

Job Qualifications:

REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree in a technical or related field, preferably computer science. Five years or more of post degree experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong general computer skills including Salesforce, process flows and change management.



PREFERRED: Background in Fike Specific enterprise software (Salesforce CRM, CPQ, Field Service, and Rootstock ERP) and AGILE software development process experience.



Compensation: The pay range for this position is $82,454 to $103,057 a year. May increase depending on the level of experience of the candidate.
