Position Overview

The Engineering Technician I is an entry-level role supporting the production of high-quality medical device instruments in a controlled manufacturing environment. Working under general supervision, this position performs detailed assembly and testing of electronic and electromechanical components using automated equipment. The role requires the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to quality and continuous improvement initiatives. Job Responsibilities



  • Perform testing of electronic components and assemblies using automated test equipment
  • Assemble electromechanical subassemblies and devices according to specifications
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and test procedures
  • Follow written procedures and verbal instructions to complete assigned tasks accurately
  • Maintain detailed and accurate production and quality records, including device history documentation
  • Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance production processes
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures
  • Prioritize and manage work tasks to meet production schedules and deadlines
  • Communicate effectively with team members and cross-functional partners
  • Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures
  • Support additional tasks and initiatives as assigned by management


Job Requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
  • Basic knowledge of electronic or mechanical assembly processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and follow detailed instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to sit, stand, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds as needed
  • Willingness to work scheduled hours and overtime as required


Work Experience



  • Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply
  • Experience in electronic assembly, testing, or manufacturing preferred
  • Experience in medical device or regulated environments (GMP, ISO, FDA) preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting or testing electronic assemblies is a plus
