The Design Thinker addresses complex business challenges across all areas of the organization. This individual regularly uncovers new areas of opportunities for the organization to succeed through thoughtful design, rapid prototyping, and quick real-world testing
Apply Design Thinking principles including:
Planning Design Thinking workshops and activities Facilitating Design Thinking workshops and activities such as persona building, empathy mapping, journey mapping, etc. Identifying and conducting pre-workshop research Coordinating and managing post-workshop artifact and prototype production Synthesizing post-workshop recommendations
Coordinating iterative prototype review / testing, including vetting with clients and customers. Delivery and presentation of workshop results and prototypes to clients Researching best practices and identifying gaps in the Design Thinking practice Pairing with new Design Thinkers and providing feedback on facilitation techniques Creating new variations of Design Thinking workshops to solve complex problems Conduction and aggregating user research to provide recommendations to clients/customers Responsibilities
Plan Design Thinking workshops/activities Facilitate Design Thinking workshops/activities Synthesize Design Thinking workshops and create artifacts Conduct user research Provide feedback to Design Thinking advocates and junior Design Thinkers
Required/Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Technology and 5 years relevant work experience In lieu of Bachelor's degree(s) listed above, High School/GED and 6 years relevant work experience
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience in planning and designing a solution for cross-functional teams Experience in applying and teaching human-centered design concepts Experience conducting qualitative research and synthesizing to provide insights, identify opportunities, and generate concepts Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a portfolio of synthesized solutions Previous facilitation experience and proven ability to bring together cross-functional teams to create a solution
