As an intern supporting the I&C Hardware Engineering team, you will assist engineers in the design, documentation, and verification of hardware used in safetyrelated nuclear systems. You will gain exposure to the full engineering lifecycle while contributing to real project work. Typical responsibilities include:

Helping translate system requirements into basic hardware design notes, checklists, or draft documentation under engineer supervision.
• Assisting with the creation and review of hardware drawings, cabinet layouts, wiring diagrams, and Bills of Materials.
• Supporting engineers in preparing equipment setups for environmental, seismic, or EMC testing, including gathering materials and documenting configurations.
• Performing basic calculations or data checks related to power distribution, heat load, or responsetime evaluations with guidance from senior engineers.
• Helping develop or execute test procedures, collect test data, and document results.

• Supporting the design and development of engineering solutions.
• Conducting analysis and evaluations of systems and components.
• Assisting in testing procedures and interpreting results.
• Helping prepare technical specifications and documentation.
• With guidance, begin to independently evaluate and apply various engineering techniques and procedures.
• Use sound judgment to assist in adapting and modifying standard methods to address new or unfamiliar tasks.
• Learn to select appropriate tools and criteria for solving technical problems, especially those that require creative or non-routine approaches.

• Pursuing a BS (Junior/Senior), MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering.

• Salary: $24.70- $32.30 hourly, with the opportunity to receive performance bonuses.
