The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Health Professions and Sciences (CHPS) is home to nationally recognized programs focused on health and wellness - and a respected faculty dedicated to teaching innovations and research partnerships. The college offers accredited programs in athletic training, communication sciences and disorders, physical therapy, and social work. CHPS also offers one of UCF's largest majors, health sciences, as well as popular programs in sport and exercise science within the field of kinesiology. Through coursework, field experience, and interprofessional education, our students develop high-demand skills in healthcare and cultural competency for working with varied populations.

The Opportunity:

The University of Central Florida is seeking an Academic Program Manager to support the College of Health Professions and Sciences. This position manages collegewide operations related to student internships, clinical and field placements, including affiliation agreements, compliance processes, and experiential education platforms. The role collaborates with academic programs, university offices, and external partners to support accreditation requirements and institutional effectiveness, including academic program assessment, program review, and specialized programmatic accreditation activities that promote academic quality and operational consistency across the college.

Responsibilities:


  • Manages the development and maintenance of all affiliation agreements related to internships, clinical and field placements across the college.

  • Coordinates with academic programs in the college, UCF offices, and community partners to streamline and enhance the operation for affiliation agreements.

  • Develops and manages the college process for compliance, background checks and drug screens related to internships and clinical and field placements.

  • Manages the college wide platform for internships, clinical and field placements.

  • Coordinates with academic programs to facilitate training, support, and compliance with the university and program accreditation requirements.

  • Assists academic programs in managing the Certificate of Participation process.

  • Manages the college process for institutional effectiveness assessment reports, academic program review, and specialized programmatic accreditation.

  • Coordinates the development, implementation and interpretation of operating procedures to enhance the college operations for internships and academic program quality.

  • Other duties as needed and assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated experience supporting and administering student internships, clinical, and field placement programs, including experiential education within an academic or healthcare-focused environment.

  • Proven experience developing, managing, and maintaining affiliation agreements related to internships, clinical, and field education.

  • Experience overseeing compliance processes for internships and clinical/field placements, including coordination of student background checks and drug screening requirements.

  • Experience with academic program assessment, accreditation requirements, and institutional compliance processes related to academic program quality.

  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $48,722 - $54,203. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
