Qualifications

Education and Experience: Experience equivalent to one year of custodial work.

Overview

This position is responsible for custodial work of average difficulty. We are seeking someone who is comfortable interacting with park guests and providing quick response to their custodial needs.

Responsibilities

  1. Clean and sanitize 30 cabins, conference center, game room, and public restrooms.
  2. Operate a variety of custodial equipment including washing machines, dryers, vacuums, and moving furniture as needed for cleaning.
  3. Utilize cleaning supplies including but not limited to bleach, disinfectants, and polishers.
  4. Remove trash from the grounds surrounding the facilities.
  5. Report repairs or supplies needed in the facilities. Perform light maintenance of the equipment utilized.

  1. Knowledge of principles, equipment, and chemicals involved in cleaning work
  2. Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects and bend, stretch, twist, or reach with one's body, arms, and/or legs
  3. Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
  4. Ability to manage one's own time and the time of others
  5. Ability to teach others how to do something
  6. Ability to monitor/assess performance of self or others to make improvements or take corrective action
  7. Ability to troubleshoot to determine causes of operating errors in equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, or other custodial equipment
