Job Description
JOB OBJECTIVE: The intern will collaborate with prominent local institutions in the life sciences sectors, which are key players in innovation across Philadelphia's innovation ecosystem. They will start with strategic accounts and work towards high potential development accounts as defined by the Account Manager. 1. Engage with strategic accounts using CRM to manage interactions and ensure a robust, responsive relationship. 2. Use virtual tools to identify and connect with potential leads, focusing on stakeholders in firms that are part of Philadelphia's growing biotech and pharmaceutical ecosystem, including the incubator community. 3. Schedule and conduct meetings to discuss the benefits of Promega's Portfolio and services, and how these can provide a competitive edge to their research and development efforts. 4. Utilize PowerBI systems to track and analyze sales data and trends within the Greater Philadelphia biotech and pharmaceutical sector. Update contacts on CRM. Product and Service Promotion: 5. Assist in promoting and providing detailed explanations of Promega's cutting-edge products and services, focusing on how these meet the unique needs of each client. 6. Help facilitate early access to new products and services, ensuring that strategic accounts are aware of the latest innovations and how they can be integrated into their operations. Content and Data Strategy Using AI Tools: 7. Employ AI tools such as Claude to develop content strategies, enhance data analysis, condense research papers, and tailor Promega technologies to specific laboratory needs. Leverage these tools to prospect customers, fill gaps in customer profiles, and tag relevant keywords for targeted marketing campaigns. 8. Use AI-driven insights to craft personalized communication and marketing materials for different client segments. Sales Tracking and Reporting: 9. Regularly update CRM with sales progress, client feedback, and market intelligence to optimize sales strategies and tactics. 10. Analyze sales performance data to understand the impact of strategic initiatives and refine approaches accordingly. Strategic Account Management Support: 11. Support the Account Manager with existing MBO efforts to begin understanding strategic account management, including key accounts such as University of Pennsylvania, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and Thomas Jefferson University. 12. Assist with on-site and virtual customer engagement to build relationships with researchers and procurement staff at strategic academic and incubator accounts. Personal Project - End-to-End Sales Cycle: 13. Take ownership of a personal project focused on an existing initiative at a target account, completing a real-world, start-to-finish sales cycle workflow: prospecting and customer mapping, strategic outreach, opportunity development, and closed won/lost outcome. 14.
