Overview We are seeking experienced Data Center Fiber Splicing Technicians (Tech II and above) to support an active data center project in Atlanta, GA. This role is intended for technicians with handson fiber splicing experience. Entrylevel cable pullers or Tech I candidates will not be considered. Technicians will support fiber and structured cabling work in a fastpaced data center environment while adhering to quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities * Perform fiber splicing in a data center environment (singlemode and/or multimode) * Pull, route, dress, and label Cat5e/Cat6 cabling according to TIA/EIA standards * Terminate RJ45 connectors and patch panels as required * Perform telecom punchdowns (110/66 blocks) * Support cable testing using tools such as Fluke and EXFO * Assist with proper fiber cable handling, routing, and dressing * Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety protocols * Take direction from experienced technicians and site supervisors Required Qualifications * Proven fiber splicing experience (required) * Tech II level or higher structured cabling experience * Strong experience in structured cabling systems * Experience with terminations and punchdowns * Must not have worked in this specific data center within the last 6 months * OSHA 10 certification required prior to start date * Ability to work extended shifts and maintain reliable attendance NicetoHave Skills * Telecommunications experience * Data center structured cabling projects * Copper and fiber cable installation Work Environment * Indoor data center construction environment * Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and climbing * Regular lifting of up to 50 lbs * Working from ladders up to 20 feet * Moderate noise levels * Occasional work in tight or confined spaces * Strict adherence to safety and attendance policies Why This Opportunity * Steady work on an active data center fiber project * Firstshift schedule with consistent hours * Handson fiber splicing and structured cabling experience * Opportunity to continue developing advanced data center skill sets Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
