About This Role
A Visiting Assistant Professor, one academic year, beginning August 16, 2026. AOS: Open. PhD or advanced ABD. Must be able to teach introductory ethics and some area of applied ethics-medical, environmental, computer/AI ethics or introductory philosophy of law. Beginning August 2026. 18 credit hours of instruction per academic year, nominally as three undergraduate courses for each of the two semesters (Fall 2026 and Spring 2027), subject to the needs of the department. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to and appreciation for teaching. Beyond teaching, the successful candidate will be expected to undertake very light service duties and to participate in the intellectual life of the department About Us The Department of Philosophy at Kansas State University is an award-winning, undergraduate-focused department with strengths in ethics, logic, and the philosophy of science.
