JRAD is seeking candidates for an upcoming Business Operations Specialist (Journeyman) position supporting the U.S. Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC), Detachment 6 (DET 6) - Fighter Test Services (FTS). This position is located at Nellis AFB, NV.

The Business Operations Specialist (Journeyman) provides business, programmatic, and operational support to contractor and government activities under the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC) Detachment 6 Fighter Test Services contract.

Supports execution of business operations functions including program management support, financial tracking, scheduling, reporting, and administrative coordination. Assists in ensuring contract performance aligns with cost, schedule, and technical requirements while supporting operational test and evaluation (OT&E) activities.

Works independently on assigned tasks and collaborates with program management, technical staff, and government stakeholders to ensure efficient and compliant execution of contract operations.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Support program management activities, including planning, coordination, and execution of contract requirements
  • Assist in tracking contract performance metrics, including cost, schedule, and deliverables
  • Support development and maintenance of program schedules, work plans, and status reports
  • Monitor and track financial data, including labor hours, expenditures, and budget execution
  • Assist in preparation of program documentation, reports, briefings, and correspondence
  • Coordinate meetings, working groups, and program reviews, including agenda preparation and action item tracking
  • Maintain program records, documentation, and configuration management processes
  • Support staffing coordination, onboarding activities, and personnel tracking
  • Assist in risk identification, issue tracking, and development of mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate with technical teams to ensure alignment of operational activities with program objectives
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, organizational policies, and applicable regulations
  • Support data collection and reporting efforts for program performance and decision-making
  • Maintain effective communication with contractor personnel and government stakeholders

Required Skills and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 3 or more years of relevant professional experience in business operations, program support, project management, or related functional areas
  • Experience supporting operational test and evaluation (OT&E) activities within AFOTEC or similar test organizations
  • Familiarity with fighter aircraft systems (e.g., F-35, F-16, F-15, F-22) and air combat operations
  • Experience preparing executive-level briefings and reports
  • Experience working in classified environments or handling sensitive information
  • Experience with financial tracking, budgeting, or contract reporting processes
  • Experience with program management tools and methodologies
  • Familiarity with the following tools and technologies: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); program and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project or equivalent); data tracking and reporting tools (e.g., SharePoint or equivalent); and financial tracking and scheduling systems
  • Experience supporting program management or business operations functions in a technical or operational environment
  • Experience tracking cost, schedule, and performance metrics
  • Experience preparing reports, briefings, and program documentation
  • Experience coordinating meetings, schedules, and program activities
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in support of complex programs

Security Clearance:

  • Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret/SCI preferred
