Job Summary The Program Manager leads end-to-end installation and deployment projects for complex technical equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing and client-site environment. This role owns project planning, scheduling, cross-functional coordination, site readiness, installation execution, risk management, and stakeholder communication from kickoff through commissioning. On a typical day, this person reviews overnight updates, walks active production or installation areas, aligns with engineering and operations teams, resolves schedule or technical blockers, coordinates with client contacts, supports field execution, and provides clear status updates to leadership. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically fluent, calm under pressure, and able to keep multiple workstreams moving against tight deadlines. Job Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of installation and deployment projects from kickoff through commissioning.
- Develop, maintain, and update project plans, timelines, milestones, and recovery plans.
- Review daily progress, risks, and installation alerts to prioritize issues that may affect delivery deadlines.
- Coordinate site readiness activities, including power, network, infrastructure, safety clearances, and access requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders throughout the installation lifecycle.
- Direct installation crews, field technicians, vendors, and rigging teams to ensure work is executed safely and on schedule.
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, quality, and field teams to ensure smooth handoffs and execution.
- Identify bottlenecks in production, calibration, quality assurance, deployment, or commissioning and drive timely resolution.
- Escalate blockers quickly and bring in the appropriate technical experts to resolve issues.
- Monitor progress against daily and weekly milestones and adjust schedules as project conditions change.
- Communicate schedule changes, risks, mitigation plans, and timeline impacts to internal stakeholders and client teams.
- Track installation quality, compliance, and readiness for commissioning.
- Prepare concise project updates for leadership, including status indicators, risks, mitigations, and forecasted timelines.
- Maintain dashboards, trackers, and documentation related to project execution, issues, and lessons learned.
- Support coordination across teams in different time zones to keep projects moving forward.
Job Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of project or program management experience supporting technical installation, deployment, construction, or similar project-based environments.
- 2 to 4 years of experience overseeing field installations or on-site deployments.
- Proven ability to manage projects end to end under tight deadlines.
- Experience coordinating multiple vendors, contractors, field teams, or service partners.
- Familiarity with site readiness requirements, including power, networking, safety, rigging, and infrastructure.
- Ability to troubleshoot real-time issues with technicians, engineers, and operational stakeholders.
- Technical fluency with robotics, automation, industrial equipment, or electromechanical systems preferred.
- Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into actionable project and installation plans.
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, logistics, safety, operations, and field service teams.
- Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to manage expectations, communicate delays, and maintain trust.
- Strong organizational, scheduling, and milestone-tracking skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Teams, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with project scheduling tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel to client sites regularly and work in active industrial or technical environments.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in business, operations, engineering technology, project management, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant project-based field experience may be considered.
Work Experience
- Experience supporting data center, commercial, colocation, industrial, or other complex technical deployment environments preferred.
- Experience managing installation schedules, stakeholder communication, and field execution in high-accountability environments strongly preferred.

Additional Job Details (Commute, Attendance, etc.)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Work is performed in a manufacturing, deployment, and client-site environment.
- Lunch may need to be taken on the go depending on project demands and field activity.
- Regular attendance, schedule flexibility, and responsiveness to project priorities are required.
