In this role, you will be the cornerstone of compliance and efficiency, directly contributing to the seamless onboarding of providers and the continuous flow of quality care. Your expertise will be vital in upholding rigorous standards, streamlining processes, and fostering strong relationships that support the entire healthcare ecosystem. To be considered for this role, you must:
- Be authorized to work in the United States
- Not require sponsorship of any kind for the duration of the assignment
- Be able to work on a W-2 basis. C2C or 1099 is not permitted for this position
Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly review and monitor provider credentialing files, ensuring absolute completeness, accuracy, and adherence to quality standards, accreditation requirements, and organizational policies.
- Accurately enter, update, and maintain critical provider data within the credentialing database, strictly following defined data field requirements and internal procedures.
- Prepare, issue, and electronically track all required credentialing verifications, executing timely follow-ups to support efficient, high-volume application processing.
- Ensure all credentialing activities are completed in strict accordance with applicable credentialing standards, established guidelines, and demanding turnaround timelines.
- Proactively engage with various payers to confirm application receipt, diligently track revalidations through approval, and swiftly resolve any requests for additional information (RFIs).
- Communicate clearly and professionally with providers, internal and external clients, and various team members regarding day-to-day credentialing matters.
- Prepare and provide essential credentialing-related information to internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Assist with special projects and additional duties on an as-needed basis, contributing to overall team success.
Must-Have Qualifications:

- 0-3 years of experience in a credentialing-related role, with a strong willingness and aptitude for rapid learning.
- Demonstrated experience managing provider credentialing files from initial application through final approval.
- Strong knowledge of quality standards, accreditation requirements, and payer guidelines.
- Proven accuracy and timeliness in high-volume, deadline-driven environments.
- Exceptional data entry skills with a keen eye for detail and proven ability to review, interpret, and validate documentation.
- Comfortable and confident communicating via phone, as approximately 40% of this role involves phone interactions.
- Proficiency in using databases, trackers, and digital collaboration tools for documentation and follow-up.
- Ability to communicate credentialing status and updates clearly and professionally to providers and/or internal stakeholders.
- Experience working cross-functionally with teams such as Recruiting, Operations, and Education.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience with industry-standard credentialing platforms.
- Familiarity with specialized credentialing software.
- Proficiency with common office productivity suites.
- Experience with credentialing processes for government health programs.
- Skilled at payer follow-ups, tracking revalidations, and resolving RFIs quickly.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $16.38 to $18.87 an hour.
