Join our partner, a leader in the transportation and logistics sector, as we revolutionize supply chain efficiency and enhance critical operational flows. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking organization that impacts millions of lives daily by ensuring seamless operations and fostering strong supplier relationships. We're looking for a proactive individual to step into a pivotal role, making an immediate and measurable impact by resolving complex payment challenges and driving lasting process improvements across a high-visibility supply chain function.

Are you ready to be the linchpin in resolving critical payment challenges and optimizing supplier relationships within a dynamic supply chain environment? As a central escalation point, you will directly influence the financial health and operational continuity of our client's vast network. This is a newly created engagement designed for an individual eager to take ownership, drive resolution without direct authority, and contribute significantly to strategic process enhancements. Your expertise will be crucial in untangling complex invoice issues, fostering collaboration across departments, and ensuring our partners are paid efficiently, directly impacting the success of critical operations.

**What You'll Do:**

* Act as the primary point of contact for all escalated supplier payment issues across the supply chain organization, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

* Resolve aging and blocked invoices by meticulously gathering supplier data, escalating match exceptions, and identifying and closing process gaps.

* Coordinate the routing of missing invoices from suppliers to the appropriate teams and facilitate invoice and payment approvals from business owners.

* Proactively escalate receiving actions, tracking high-priority payments through to their complete resolution.

* Identify invoices lacking critical information and flag systemic issues that cause payment delays, contributing to long-term solutions.

* Provide regular, comprehensive updates on aged and blocked invoice resolution, issue tracking, and root-cause categorization to leadership.

* Develop detailed, supplier-specific and category-specific payment issue summaries for leadership, offering actionable insights.

* Formulate recommendations based on the top drivers of late payments and high-impact suppliers or categories, including quick-win corrective actions.

* Consolidate supply chain feedback to inform and drive cross-departmental process and procedure improvements.

**Who You Are:**

* A natural collaborator with exceptional cross-functional communication skills, capable of driving resolution and influencing outcomes without direct authority.

* An independent executor with a proven ability to see issues through to closure, demonstrating strong follow-up and problem-solving capabilities.

* Detail-oriented and analytical, with a knack for identifying root causes and recommending practical solutions.

**Required Skills & Experience:**

* 3-5 years of experience in a procurement, accounts payable, or supply chain coordination role.

* Demonstrated understanding of common payment blockers, including three-way match discrepancies, invoice exceptions, receipt issues, and quantity/price mismatches.

* Familiarity with buyer-side procurement processes and supplier management best practices.

* Proficiency in common office productivity suites, including email, spreadsheet, and word processing applications.

**Nice-to-Have Skills:**

* Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, particularly those used for payment data management.

* Familiarity with inventory systems in operationally critical supply chain environments.

* Experience with collaboration and documentation tools.

* A background in aviation, logistics, or other operationally critical supply chain environments.
