Capital Sourcing Specialist

Negotiate and manage the purchase of capital equipment and services for the network. Utilize PeopleSoft Financials and related automation tools. Analyze spend data using Google tools across suppliers and categories. Source and negotiate with manufacturers and suppliers for core products. Meet with supplier reps to stay informed on products and services. Communicate savings opportunities across organization and Value Analysis teams. Review GPO contracts for savings on capital purchases. Partner with departments to identify cost-saving initiatives and projects. Present savings analyses and negotiate contracts through GPO or direct supplier deals. Track and report cost-saving initiatives regularly. Assist in equipment specification for construction and expansion projects. Collaborate with planners, consultants, architects, and network staff on large projects. Maintain project equipment tracking spreadsheets and order equipment on schedule. Prepare RFPs, bid summaries, and vendor performance analyses as needed. Source suppliers both domestically and internationally to support supply chain goals. Support departments in supplier selection and contract negotiation through RFPs. Collaborate with leaders and staff at all levels within organization. Work with Legal, Biomed, and Accounts Payable on contract matters. Ensure procurement details are addressed in contract negotiations. Ensure contracts are executed and maintained in the contract management system. Identify substitute products during recalls, alerts, and shortages. Support Healthy Hospitals Initiatives when applicable. Manage liquidation of surplus/obsolete capital equipment using approved vendors or open market. Other duties and projects as assigned. Adhere to organizational standards and competencies.


Education Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree (Business concentration preferred).
  • Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) - at hire or obtained within 12 months.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to travel within the network as needed.
  • Project management skills.
  • Highly organized with multitasking and time management abilities for aggressive deadlines.
  • Ability to adjust workload based on shifting priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
