* Design, conduct, and analyze mixed-methods research, including survey creation and light statistical analysis.
* Independently lead customer conversations and engagement programs, integrating feedback directly into the product development lifecycle.
* Manage daily research requests and conduct usability studies for specific product features.
* Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and design, to ensure a unified vision.
* Apply AI technologies to research processes to enhance efficiency, scale, and output.
* Engage with and manage external vendors for specialized research initiatives.
* Formulate strategic insights from research findings, moving beyond tactical inputs to influence long-term product direction.
* Conduct programmatic work, organizing participants and aligning insights across various customer programs.
* Experiment with and utilize interactive prototypes for user testing and exploration. **Qualifications:** **Must-Have Qualifications:** * 4-5 years of dedicated UX research experience; academic experience (PhD/Masters in Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Anthropology, etc.) can contribute to this timeframe.
* Predominantly qualitative research expertise with demonstrated comfort and experience in mixed methods (e.g., surveys, light quantitative analysis).
* Proven ability to independently lead customer conversations and strategic research initiatives.
* Experience with cross-functional collaboration, working effectively with engineering, product management, and design teams.
* Demonstrated interest and experience in applying AI technologies to UX research, including prompt writing.
* Proficiency with survey platforms such as Qualtrics.
* Familiarity with design and prototyping tools, particularly Figma.
* Highly collaborative, adaptable, and flexible to adjust to changing research requests and project velocity.
* Strong communication skills for presenting complex research findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as a fully-trusted senior team member. **Nice-to-Have Qualifications:** * Experience with vendor engagement in research.
* Background in the tech industry, particularly productivity software or SaaS.
