Job Summary

Where you are:

While this position is remote, we're only able to hire candidates who reside in Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina, Florida, South Carolina, Michigan, or Colorado.

What you do:

  • Administer a HIPAA compliant landing zone on AWS, serving as the primary owner of all data, analytics, and AI/ML workloads
  • Administer a Tableau server deployment in the AWS landing zone, including patching, upgrades, and performance monitoring.
  • Provide expert knowledge on cloud infrastructure to ensure successful cloud adoption, translating strategies into secure and efficient implementations while leading in areas like AI/ML and analytics.
  • Support the design and development of new cloud solutions, assisting architects with everything from requirement analysis to implementation, and ensure readiness for ongoing support.
  • Manage cloud migration projects, developing and executing migration strategies, and designing infrastructure solutions that include automation tactics like Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD).
  • Research and prototype new technologies to enhance cloud capabilities, proactively finding ways to automate and reduce operational toil, and mentoring others to optimize cloud outcomes.
  • Enhance cloud infrastructure reliability, scalability, and efficiency by collaborating with engineers and ensuring compliance with nonfunctional requirements like data protection and disaster recovery.
  • Lead and participate in knowledge-sharing activities, contributing to communities of practice and organizational learning to elevate cloud engineering skills across the organization.
  • Collaborate extensively with security teams, third-party suppliers, and other organizational peers to design and optimize cloud solutions across single, multi-cloud, and hybrid environments, ensuring security and compliance standards are met.

What you need:

  • A bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, management information systems, statistics, or related field or equivalent work experience. masters preferred.
  • Five years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, Information Technology, or similar field.

  • AWS certifications.
  • Expertise engaging with infrastructure and application support teams with a strong background in cloud migration projects and securing cloud platforms in conjunction with security teams.
  • Experienced in DevOps/DevSecOps practices, Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban, and proposing new standards based on feedback, and skilled in using DevOps tooling such as CI/CD platforms, and infrastructure-as-code technologies..
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles including source control, versioning, and code reviews, especially in HIPAA-compliant environments.
  • Expertise implementing highly available systems across multiple availability zones and regions.
  • Knowledgeable in container management (Docker, Kubernetes), operating systems (Windows, Linux), and database technologies.
  • Experienced in identity management (Active Directory/Azure AD), cloud monitoring (AWS CloudWatch), and cloud networking concepts.
  • Strong in cloud security, including key management and encryption, and cloud spending analysis for resource optimization.
