The Pharmacy Technician Patient Advocate Specialist III assists patients and providers in completing benefits investigations, enrolling patients in manufacturer assistance programs. Working under limited supervision, they specialize in a clinical service to ensure patient medication access. Essential Job Function Performs benefits investigations for specialized clinical service area. Obtains insurance prior authorizations and pre-certifications. Coordinates with manufacturer assistance programs for under/uninsured patients. Acts as a liaison between the patient, clinic and/or infusion center, pharmacy, third party payor, and/or drug manufacturer. Works collaboratively with clinical pharmacists and care team. Delivers quality customer service to every patient. Performs other duties as assigned. Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience Required: 5 years Licensure/Certification/Listing Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician and must complete an 'advanced pharmacy technician certification' within 12 months of starting the role.
