Job Title: Inventory Control Associate
Department: Inventory
Reports to: Inventory Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary:
Being a part of a Distribution Center means being on the very front lines of getting product to the customers safely, accurately, and as quickly as possible. You'll reach beyond the limits of your team to partner across the organization and find solutions to support the business.
Essential Functions:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to perform daily cycle count.
- Ability to verify physical inventory counts.
- Ability to perform data entry into inventory management system and correct inventory record inaccuracies.
- Ability to investigate and report inventory discrepancies.
- Ability to track and maintain damaged titles in inventory.
- Ability to conduct weekly audits.
- Ability to conduct follow up after proper research, communicate the findings.
- Ability to maintain documentation of the defects and root cause analysis.
- Ability to set resolution steps occasionally in conjunction with your ICQA Leader and other operational leaders.
- Ability to promote a safe workplace.
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned electric powered material handling equipment including Sit Down Forklift, Reach Truck, Order Picker, Pallet Jack, Pallet Stacker and Pallet Jack to support all facets of a high-volume distribution center.
- Perform Forklift Operator Daily Checklists on assigned equipment.
Non-Essential Functions:
- Communicate and report any incidents to supervisor.
- Perform and drive cleanliness of the physical locations.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Identify and process damaged titles and place in designated area.
- Other duties may be assigned, directed, or requested.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 1 or more years of inventory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee:
- Must be able to stand up to 10 hours in a day.
- Must be able to walk up to 10 hours.
- Will continuously reach up and out.
- Will occasionally climb.
- Will occasionally push/pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally push/pull up to 100 pounds.
- Will frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Will occasionally have repetitive foot movement.
- Will frequently have repetitive hand/arm movements for simple reaching, simple and firm grasping, and/or fine hand manipulation.
- Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.
- Employee must be able to wear gloves occasionally.
Language Skills:
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences well both written and verbally, in English.
- Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between a series of numbers.
Basic Skills:
- Must be proficient in mathematics.
- Ability to add and subtract numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to operate computer systems with minimal direction after receiving training.
- Basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Word.
- Ability to navigate web-based ICQA reporting and forms, such as Microsoft SharePoint, Power BI, iSeries (AS400) and Web Focus, with minimal direction, after training.
- Ability to perform basic data entry and analysis in Excel.
- Ability to be trained on powered equipment as needed.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- The work performed is in a high-volume distribution center environment.
- The employee is frequently exposed to vibrations and dust and will be working around moving machinery.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
