Job Title: Human Resources Representative

Location(s): Los Angeles, CA

Required Qualifications

  • One (1) to three (3) years of demonstrated customer service experience within an internal Human Resources, Workforce Administration (WFA), or Benefits environment, with subject matter expertise in at least one functional area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience within a University of California (UC) environment is strongly preferred; alternatively, experience in a complex higher education institution or hospital-based HR environment will be considered.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise HR systems and tools, including PeopleSoft, ServiceNow, VisualVault, and web-based HR applications.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to clearly, concisely, and logically convey information, and translate technical concepts into accessible language for diverse audiences.
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively and diplomatically with faculty, staff, administrators, and colleagues, while fostering collaborative working relationships.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused service.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively based on business needs.
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness in all work products.
  • Ability to remain composed and productive in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines, frequent interruptions, and competing priorities.
  • Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to adapt to and stay current with evolving systems, policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Physical ability to remain seated for extended periods, perform repetitive keyboard use, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Knowledge of UC personnel and payroll policies and procedures is preferred.
