INTERNSHIP: User Experience Designer

Role Description & Responsibilities

Our Dassault Systemes SOLIDWORKS User Experience Design Team is excited to announce we have a hybrid internship opportunity available in our Waltham, MA office! As a User Experience Design Intern, you will contribute to UX efforts across SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE products, helping us deliver intuitive, highquality experiences for millions of users worldwide.

The Dassault Systemes SOLIDWORKS User Experience Design Team is excited to offer an internship opportunity in our Waltham, MA office. Our multidisciplinary team includes UX designers, graphic designers, user researchers, and engineers who shape the user experience and interface of SOLIDWORKS products. We design for a wide ecosystem-from desktop CAD applications to web and mobile tools-and support emerging interfaces such as augmented and virtual reality.

In this role you will:

* Collaborate with senior UX team members to maintain design and workflow consistency across products

* Participate in user research, workflow analysis, and feature design for SOLIDWORKS applications

* Create wireframes, UI concept mockups, and interaction flows

* Build low-, medium-, and highfidelity prototypes for desktop and web experiences

* Support user research activities, including usability testing and synthesis

* Contribute to design documentation and presentation materials

Qualifications

* Experience with 3D CAD applications; familiarity with SOLIDWORKS is recommended but not required

* Experience, knowledge, or strong interest in AI/ML functionalities is a significant advantage, especially as we explore intelligent design assistance, automation, and nextgeneration workflows

* Understanding of the endtoend UX design process-from discovery to concept development to detailed design

* Working knowledge of design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or other design tools

* Ability to create interactive prototypes for user testing; an engineering background is a plus

* Up to 5 years of experience in a customerfacing or designrelated role; recent graduates are encouraged to apply

* Familiarity with Dassault Systemes products or customers is a plus

* Positive, selfdriven attitude with enthusiasm for learning and incorporating feedback

* Strong communication and presentation skills

* Ability to work onsite in our Waltham office as part of a hybrid schedule
