We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Manager, Preconstruction to join our Data Center (DTC) team. This role leads the end to end proposal process for preconstruction activities across the regional business, ensuring timely, accurate submissions that support Exyte DTC's strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail oriented, and experienced in managing complex bids within the data center construction industry. They will provide clear leadership throughout the pursuit lifecycle, coordinating internal teams and external partners to deliver compelling, compliant proposals that align with Exyte's values and standards.

This role works closely with opportunity management, business development, engineering, procurement, estimating, project delivery, and executive leadership to develop customer focused proposals that drive growth. Success requires exceptional project management skills, strong communication, and the ability to align diverse stakeholders in delivering winning solutions.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

Proposal Development: Own the proposal development and documentation (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, presentations, executive summaries, commercials).
* Ensure the implementation of the proposal development processes, including capture plans, kick-off meetings, quality reviews, brand compliance, and timely submission of proposals.
* Work with the Business Acquisition team to understand client requirements, deal strategy, and win themes.
* Coordinate preconstruction activities with engineering, procurement, estimating, pricing, delivery, and legal teams to develop compelling proposals.
* Develop and maintain bid plans, timelines, to ensure on-time and quality submissions.

Collaboration: Manage the end-to-end bid lifecycle, from RFP/RFQ to final submission.
* Coordinate preconstruction activities by working closely with cross-functional teams, including business acquisition, engineering, project delivery, and finance.
* Conduct storyboarding and review sessions with stakeholders to ensure alignment with client expectations.

Compliance: Own the proposal documentation (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, presentations, executive summaries, commercials).
* Ensure all proposals comply with client requirements, industry standards, and company policies.

Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct reviews of all proposals to ensure clarity, consistency, and quality.
* Implement feedback from stakeholders to improve proposal content.
* Ensure proposals clearly articulate value proposition, differentiators, and competitive positioning.

Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their needs and answer questions and provide additional information as required.

Reporting: Track and report bid progress, risks, and dependencies to senior management.Prepare regular reports on proposal activities, success rates, and areas for improvement.

Show your expertise

* Education: Bachelor's in Business, Economics, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
* 8+ years of experience.
* Prior experience in the construction and/or engineering industry, specifically in the data center industry, is preferred.
* Prior sales leadership experience.
* Comprehensive knowledge of preconstruction and construction concepts and principles.
* Ability to perform complex tasks typically following established processes.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Exceptional organization, coordination, alignment, and collaboration skills. Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong project management and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Business travel as required.
