JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead our pet food production operations with enthusiasm and precision. In this role, you will oversee multiple pet food-related processes, ensuring the highest quality standards, optimizing efficiency, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage a dedicated team, and coordinate with procurement, quality assurance, and logistics to meet production goals. DUTIES:

• Supervise daily milling operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production schedules
• Lead, train, and develop team members in best practices for equipment operation, safety procedures, and process improvements
• Coordinate procurement of raw materials and manage inventory control to ensure seamless production flow
• Monitor equipment performance; schedule maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime
• Implement process improvements using management techniques to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
• Conduct regular safety audits, employee orientation sessions, and training programs to promote a safe work environment
• Oversee recordkeeping related to production metrics, quality assurance reports, payroll, bookkeeping, and inventory management

SKILLS:

• Strong leadership skills with proven experience supervising manufacturing teams in a food, pet food, or similar industry setting
• Excellent communication skills for effective team management and cross-department collaboration
• Ability to negotiate with suppliers and vendors to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards
• Experience with employee recruitment, interviewing, training & development, and performance management
• Knowledge of budgeting, payroll processing, and bookkeeping
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for effective communication across diverse teams
• Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in recordkeeping and process documentation
• Strong time management skills coupled with excellent phone etiquette and customer service orientation
