About the Position

The Fiduciary Case Aide is an entry-level position that plays a vital role in supporting the fiduciary operations that safeguard vulnerable adults and individuals under guardianship or conservatorship. This cross-functional position combines administrative and field-based responsibilities and offers a structured pathway toward becoming a licensed fiduciary in Arizona. Working under the direct supervision of a licensed fiduciary, the Fiduciary Case Aide collaborates closely with fiduciaries, clinical teams, attorneys, financial staff, and community partners to ensure that clients receive ethical, effective, and compassionate support.

This role is ideal for a mission-driven individual seeking to begin a career in fiduciary services or public service. The ideal candidate is adaptable and able to work independently. They must possess strong interpersonal skills, demonstrate sound judgment, and be comfortable working with diverse and at-risk populations. This is a unique opportunity to gain broad experience in fiduciary casework and public service. This position provides mentorship, training, and exposure to fiduciary casework, preparing the successful candidate to qualify for licensure after one (1) to three (3) years of employment, based on education and pursuant to A.C.J.A. *7-202(E).

We Require

  • Two years of experience in behavioral health, social services, or a related human services environment
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and pass a background check

We Also Value

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Social Work, Behavioral Health Sciences, Psychology, Paralegal Studies, or a related field
  • One year of experience performing administrative, clerical, or office support duties
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy and compassion
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel
  • General familiarity with financial concepts, including budgeting and expense tracking
  • Knowledge of behavioral health diagnoses and the behavioral health system in Maricopa County

Job Contributions

  • Provide support relating to client benefits, finances, and services to ensure timely access to healthcare, housing, and daily living support
  • Participate in care planning meetings, court hearings, and clinical staffings to advocate for client interests and support fiduciary decision-making
  • Prepare reports, inventories, correspondence, and other case documentation detailing client property, assets, and personal needs
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, records, and reports
  • Conduct field visits to assess living conditions, verify client safety, and monitor compliance with care plans
  • Answer calls, assist clients and families, and connect the public with critical resources
  • Collaborate with medical, legal, financial, and social service professionals to support comprehensive care and fiduciary objectives
  • Conduct investigative research to identify next of kin, locate missing records, and secure core identity documents
  • Uphold ethical standards and client confidentiality in all work
  • Participate in training and coursework to prepare for fiduciary licensing

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in an indoor office environment serving an extremely fast-paced fiduciary business. Interruptions, time pressures, a high volume of work, handling multiple or complex tasks, unscheduled, frequently changing tasks, accuracy, decision-making, concentration, vigilance, teamwork, working in close proximity to others, and public contact may be constant occurrences
  • Interactions with culturally, socioeconomically, and behaviorally diverse populations, including individuals experiencing instability or crisis
  • May be required to lift up to 40 pounds from the floor to the waist and up to 30 pounds from the waist to the shoulder. May be required to carry, push/pull up to 10 pounds a distance of 20 feet
  • Telework or remote work is not an option for this position
