SHIFT: Day (United States of America)Seeking Breakthrough Makers A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the Lefebvre laboratory in the Translational Research Program in Pediatric Orthopaedics at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Abramson Research Institute. The fellow will contribute to a research project aiming at elucidating cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying genetic skeletal dysplasias, including achondroplasia, scoliosis, and campomelic dysplasia, and at developing gene therapy approaches to alleviate the clinical manifestations of these disorders and improve the quality of life of affected individuals. The fellow will use cutting-edge approaches in vivo and in vitro, including mouse models, human iPSC-derived organoid models, high-throughput 'omics' approaches and gene therapy strategies. Strong candidates for this position will be eager to contribute to pioneering translational research. They will have obtained an M.D. or Ph.D. degree in the last three years, will have a solid scientific research track record, including first-author publications relevant to the project, and will have outstanding communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
