The Regional Manager of Clinical Operations oversees the clinical activities within a defined geographic area of the region to support the delivery of safe, evidenced based patient care that is commensurate with company and customer expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  • The Regional Manager of Clinical Operations acts as a clinical resource to all caregivers. Maintains a knowledge base of current standards of care and standards of practice and ensures compliance to those standards.
  • Conducts clinical quality assurance investigations according to established GMR procedures. Provide timely updates and loop closure to regional leadership stakeholders.
  • In conjunction with clinical practices and clinical quality leaders, the Regional Manager participates in the ongoing development, implementation and evaluation of the clinical quality management program designed to measure and ensure that patient care delivered is commensurate with company and customer expectations.
  • Collaborates with the National Director of Clinical Quality and Performance to obtain relevant outcomes reporting and disseminate trends to regional operations and clinical stakeholders.
  • Participates in and audits quality assurance and quality improvement activities at the operations level as directed.
  • Provides guidance and direction to Clinical Educator staff (as applicable).
  • Maintains a thorough working knowledge of organizational policies, protocols and relevant accreditation standards. Ensure clinical and patient care systems and programs are implemented and supported to maintain compliance with organizational and accreditation standards.
  • Works collaboratively with Medical Directors and regional leadership to ensure alignment of clinical and quality goals and the achievement of performance goals.
  • Collaborate with the National Director of Clinical Quality and Performance to obtain relevant outcomes reporting and disseminate trends to regional operations and clinical stakeholder.
  • In conjunction with GMR Learning and the Regional Director of Clinical Practices, organize and implement standardized quarterly trainings, annual trainings, specialty training assignments and continuing education requirements. Alsoserves as subject matter expert for educational content development and evaluation.
  • Assists the Regional Director with the annual budgeting process.Assist the Regional Director in the identification and development of strategic and tactical plans, including project proposals and implementation strategies to ensure organizational clinical standards are met and maintained.
  • Assists in auditing and managing employee credentials and training completion requirements.
  • In conjunction with regional leadership and the National Director of Patient Safety, participates in the investigation and evaluation of clinical events in accordance with GMR established procedures. Alsoparticipates in the ongoing development, implementation and evaluation of patient care protocols. Actively participate in the evaluation and/or selection of patient care equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • Minimum five years patient care experience in the applicable transport mode. (Flight or ALS Transport).
  • Minimum of three years management experience required.
  • Progressive leadership experience preferred.
  • Flight experience preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent knowledge and experience preferred
  • Just Culture/High Reliability training required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Possess the ability to build and lead successful teams
  • Model clinical and general professional leadership to all internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and foster a just culture and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Understanding of accreditation standards and experience managing accreditation processes preferred
  • Collaborates well with corporate and operations leadership.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to personal and professional growth through the advancement of clinical and leadership knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Ability to travel periodically to multiple job sites

Credentials/Licenses:

  • Valid nursing and/or paramedic credential appropriate to scope
  • Specialty certification applicable to scope preferred (CCRN, CFRN, CEN, FP-C or CCP-C)
