Executive Director – (job location is San Francisco, CA; employer is Nomura Securities International, Inc.) – Oversee key aspects of deal execution, including directing financial analysis, preparing pitch materials, leading due diligence efforts, negotiating deal terms, and managing the overall deal process. Lead relationship management and coverage of a select group of large and mid-market private equity sponsors; lead and participate in senior-level client meetings and pitches; cultivate and maintain relationships with senior managers and executives at covered clients. Originate and lead new transaction ideas and mandates; develop and present creative financing and M&A solutions tailored to various private equity portfolio companies. Act as the primary escalation point for private equity deal teams and portfolio company management teams; negotiate economics, confidentiality agreements, engagement letters, and key terms with counterparties. Drive cross-product and cross-geography collaboration (DCM, ECM, Leveraged Finance, M&A, restructuring, industry coverage teams) and deliver holistic solutions to private equity clients. Mentor and develop junior bankers; play an active role in recruiting, training, and fostering team culture. Requirements: Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Quantitative Finance, plus three years of experience in the position offered or as Vice President in a global investment bank. All of the required experience must have included leading the execution of mergers and acquisitions transactions, capital raising and strategic advisory transactions; applying understanding of market trends, regulatory environment and competitive landscape specific to private equity clients; employing financial analysis, valuation and methodologies; managing and mentoring junior bankers and guiding them through deal processes; building relationships with private equity clients, internal teams and external partners; negotiating deal terms; preparing pitch presentation materials; and leading due diligence, research and analytics, including financial and operational due diligence, market research, company research, sector analysis and risk analysis. FINRA licenses (SIE, Series 79TO and Series 63) required.
