Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented EMS Refrigeration Technician to join our team. In this role, you will install, program, and maintain Energy Management Systems (EMS) that control commercial and industrial refrigeration units. Your primary goal will be to optimize system efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and prevent product loss for our clients. If you have a strong background in commercial refrigeration and automated controls, we want to hear from you. What You Will Do (Responsibilities) Install & Program: Wire, configure, and commission EMS platforms (e.g., Danfoss, CPC/Emerson, Novar) for commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems. Monitor & Diagnose: Remotely and on-site track system performance, troubleshoot control voltage signals, and respond promptly to system alarms. Maintain & Repair: Read schematic diagrams to diagnose complex issues in parallel rack systems, compressor groups, and oil management loops. Upgrade Systems: Run conduit, pull wire, and mount control hardware for EMS conversions and system modernization projects. Compliance & Records: Keep accurate logs of system modifications, maintenance tasks, and EPA refrigerant handling compliance. What We Look For (Qualifications) Certification: Valid EPA Universal Certification (Required). Experience: 3+ years of experience in commercial refrigeration, HVAC, or automated control systems. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical ladder logic, low-voltage control circuits, and refrigeration mechanical cycles. System Knowledge: Familiarity with EMS platforms like Emerson/CPC E2/E3, Danfoss, or Novar is highly preferred. Requirements: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on ladders.
