Job Description




As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy professional location, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine foot patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible, support access control processes, and communicate clearly with employees, visitors, and your team. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, verify identification and/or visitor authorization when required, and help to maintain orderly entry and exit.
  • Complete reports and shift documentation per Allied Universal and site requirements, including incident reports, patrol logs, and/or activity summaries.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
