Security Officer - Entry Control Full-Time

As a Security Officer - Entry Control Full-Time in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a tech, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor check-in, and support badge and key control. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter incidents, and communicate clearly with staff and guests. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and access control requirements.
• Operate access control points by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing temporary badges when authorized, managing visitor logs, and directing guests to the appropriate check-in process.
• Monitor entry and exit activity to help to deter unauthorized access, tailgating, and policy violations, escalating concerns through the designated reporting and response channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events, notifying appropriate personnel, and supporting emergency response activities as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including checking doors, gates, and restricted areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
