Security Officer (Part-Time)

This position makes rounds of assigned county facilities and safeguards individuals and property. Work includes directing and assisting members of the public visiting the facilities.

• Opening/Closing of facility;
• Daily interior/exterior patrols of facility;
• When required, work with Sheriff's deputies in the operation of security equipment, which includes metal detectors and x-ray equipment;
• Assist and direct visitors, as needed;
• Other, related duties as may be required;
• Schedule will be for weekends and holidays.

* High school diploma or GED;
* Valid PA driver's license;
* Must be at least 21 years of age;
* No record of criminal convictions;
* Must have prior experience in security or law enforcement;
* Must be willing to take mandatory training classes.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception.
