Description SUMMARY
The Director of Business Development drives product adoption, revenue growth, and market expansion by building strong relationships with specifiers, customers, and strategic partners. This role combines commercial acumen with technical understanding to influence product selection, expand international presence, and identify opportunities for research and innovation. The ideal candidate is proactive, persuasive, and energized by shaping markets. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

TECHNICAL SKILLS Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM, Financials and budgeting.. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, employees of the organization, customers, and the general public. Fluency in other languages a plus (i.e. Chinese, Spanish, etc.) MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages pertaining to budgets, forecasts, and contractual agreements. REASONING ABILITY Ability to creatively solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES Ability to work independently or in a team. Must possess a specific level of communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to work in a multi-task environment considering various external factors and to communicate efficiently and accurately to both managers/supervisors and subordinate staff. Must be detail oriented. SOFTWARE SKILLS Must possess advanced computer skills in Project Management skills, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Multi-media Authoring tools and Learning Management Systems. Must have knowledge surrounding SCORM and TinCan methodologies. The ability to use Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline/Studio or other online authoring tools is a plus. Ability to quickly learn and use association specific software.
