Job Description

The Rehabilitation Technician supports therapy services by preparing treatment areas, assisting with patient care activities, and helping keep the department running smoothly. This role plays an important part in creating a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare treatment areas before sessions and clean/reset spaces afterward

  • Assist with equipment setup and basic patient support during therapy

  • Transport inpatients to and from therapy appointments

  • Clean, maintain, and track therapy equipment per department standards

  • Help with front desk duties such as answering phones, greeting visitors, scheduling, and patient check-in/out

  • Deliver and retrieve supplies, paperwork, mail, and equipment as needed

  • Support quality improvement, safety, and departmental performance initiatives

  • Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and safety standards

  • Provide courteous, age-appropriate service to patients and families

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous medically related experience (rehab tech, nursing assistant, patient transport, etc.)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs using proper body mechanics

  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, push, pull, and carry throughout the shift

Preferred

  • Coursework or training in patient care
