Job Title: IT Operations Professional 4

Location(s): Washington, DC

Role Overview
We are seeking a senior-level IT Operations Professional (Level 4) to support enterprise network operations within a complex, global environment. This is a hands-on operations role focused on configuration, troubleshooting, and execution of network changes.

This position is not architecture or design focused. The selected candidate will execute approved solutions, validate configurations, implement changes safely, and provide post-deployment operational support.

Due to workload demands and the scarcity of deep Cisco SDA expertise, we are seeking an experienced professional who can contribute immediately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute network changes based on approved SOWs and SOPs.
  • Validate solutions in coordination with the global architecture team.
  • Prepare configurations and perform production implementations.
  • Provide post-go-live operational support.
  • Troubleshoot enterprise LAN/WAN/Wireless issues including:
    • User connectivity failures.
    • Site outages.
    • Application/network performance issues.
    • Wireless connectivity disruptions.
  • Support network segmentation and micro-segmentation initiatives.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups with EU-based teams.
  • Serve as an escalation point for Priority 1 / major incidents.
  • Ensure changes are executed without impact to production systems.
This role is heavily operations-focused and requires strong break/fix expertise in a live enterprise environment.

Required Qualifications (Must Have)
1. Deep Hands-On Cisco SDA Expertise (Critical Requirement).
  • Cisco Software Defined Access (SDA).
  • Cisco DNA Center.
  • Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE / Client).
  • Cisco Catalyst switching and wireless.
  • Network segmentation and micro-segmentation.

Candidates must demonstrate strong SDA operational depth during technical interviews.

2. Senior Enterprise Network Operations Experience

  • Advanced troubleshooting across LAN, WAN, and Wireless.
  • Strong understanding of routing and security protocols.
  • Experience working in complex, global enterprise environments.
  • Exposure to automation within network operations.
3. Implementation & Change Execution
  • Hands-on configuration and deployment experience.
  • Ability to safely execute network changes in production.
  • Post-deployment validation and operational stabilization
Certifications
  • CCNP (strongly preferred).
  • CCIE (major plus).
  • Candidates without certifications must demonstrate equivalent hands-on SDA expertise.
Additional Technologies (Nice to Have)
  • Cisco Meraki.
  • VMware NSX.
  • SD-WAN technologies.
  • Network automation tools (Ansible, Python, etc.)
Work Environment & Expectations
  • Remote position with global collaboration (EU, India, North America).
  • Daily engagement with international teams.
  • Flexibility is mandatory due to time zone overlap and occasional off-hours work.
  • Overtime requires prior approval; comp time may be utilized.
  • Candidates who require rigid schedules or cannot accommodate occasional schedule adjustments will not be a fit.
Preferred Geographic Regions (Eastern Time Strongly Preferred)
  • NJ, NY, DE.
  • DMV (DC / MD / VA).
  • NC.
  • FL.
  • GA (Atlanta).
  • Mountain Time may be considered based on flexibility.
  • West Coast candidates discouraged unless highly flexible.
Required Experience
  • 5+ years of enterprise network engineering/operations experience.
  • Strong operational experience in Software-Defined Networking (SDN) environments.
  • Deep knowledge of protocols such as BGP, OSPF, LISP, MPLS, VXLAN, EVPN.
  • Experience with policy-driven networking and segmentation.
  • Ability to serve as an operational SME and escalation resource.
