The Opportunity at Hand

The role of the Vendor Compliance Intern is an integral member of the Vendor Compliance Team adding value through assisting with entering and researching chargebacks and assisting with customer's shipping terms projects. The role will also include helping with onboarding new customers from the beginning where various departments, such as legal, quality, finance and logistics, would be learned. This role will ultimately help to build stronger customer relationships through Vendor Compliance.

Projects & Tasks

  • Assist with managing the customer chargeback process, which includes:
    • Entering chargebacks
    • Researching each ticket
    • Help maintain the chargeback portal
    • Help maintain the open ticket spreadsheet
    • Owning the Bi-Weekly chargeback meeting
    • Creating custom chargeback reports
  • Assist with researching customers' incoterms to ensure all shipping terms are set up correctly
  • Support Vendor Compliance team in related projects as well as daily vendor relations responsibilities
  • Create new documentation standards and samples materials for new warehouse
  • Keep all sensitive matters confidential
  • Other projects as assigned

What you will need to make an impact

  • Ability to work independently with limited structure as well as possess a high level of resourcefulness
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to quickly learn and adopt new systems
  • Comfortable collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate professionally via phone, email, and in-person
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to respond quickly to changing circumstances
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to enhance existing processes and solutions
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and positive, with a track record of managing change with persistence and urgency

Education and Experience

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program within Business Administration or a related field

This role is 100% in-person and requires on-site attendance five days a week at our Headquarters building located in downtown Buffalo. The hourly rate for this posted position is $17/hr. and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
