Your main responsibilities
As Sales Account Manager at Schindler, you will cultivate relationships with customer to drive sales for elevator and escalator services, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. You will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, as well as identify and pursue sales opportunities, manage existing and new customer accounts, and retain customers. You will act as a liaison between the customer and Schindler to build strong, long-term relationships and leverage industry knowledge to achieve sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships within the assigned territory to secure new and renewal service agreements while supporting revenue growth.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring timely resolution and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Meet regularly with customers to understand their business needs and develop tailored solutions for their properties.
- Manage accounts receivable for the assigned portfolio, ensuring accurate billing and timely payments.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders to support service delivery and achieve sales objectives.
- Collaborate closely with Field Superintendents and technicians to generate leads and deliver an exceptional end-to-end customer experience.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue sales opportunities, presenting company products, services, and new technologies with a clear value proposition.
- Prepare estimates, negotiate favorable contract terms, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree with B2B sales experience in the elevator or a related industry.
- 5-10 years of customer account management experience with a strong focus on relationship building, issue resolution, and revenue growth.
- Proven negotiation and sales strategy expertise, including contract negotiation, objection handling, and alignment with customer needs and company values.
- Demonstrated success in identifying opportunities, introducing new services/technology, and closing profitable deals independently.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence both customers and internal stakeholders.
- Leadership experience supporting and mentoring junior sales team members and collaborating cross-functionally with field operations teams.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.
- Results-driven, resilient, and customer-focused professional able to balance office and field work, including travel and direct customer engagement.
