Job Summary

Focused on executing layout tasks with minimal supervision, maintaining workflow standards, and building strong field awareness. Individuals in this role are expected to take ownership of daily layout activities, demonstrate consistent file and equipment management, and maintain strong communication with field supervision and fellow surveyors.


Essential Duties

  • Independently perform layout tasks based on coordination models, shop drawings, or blueprints.
  • Verify control and benchmark elevation before performing any layout.
  • Maintain all assigned survey equipment and ensure accurate calibration and setup.
  • Own daily file uploads, reporting, and Trimble Connect data management.
  • Communicate layout needs, conflicts, or field concerns to supervision and project teams.
  • Support the overall success of the survey crew by working efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with SOPs.
  • Serve as the point of contact for Survey on smaller jobsites or self-performing scopes.
  • Begin learning how to manage and prioritize personal workload in coordination with project demands.
  • Apply TDIndustries Core Values consistently in the field and support team cohesion.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School degree or GED
  • Associates Degree or Vocational Training in related field is preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in technology, rapid learning aptitude, and meticulous attention to detail are essential for this position.
  • Requires working knowledge and skills developed through formal training or work experience.
  • Work may be performed outdoors or on a construction project job-site. Subject to extreme heat and cold, loud noise, vibrations and dust.
  • Must have the ability to work skillfully with both hands,
  • Will frequently move about the job-site and may require you to ascend and descend ladders and scaffolds and/or frequently move equipment and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
