Medical Assistant

Pay From: $18 per hour
MUST:
Qualified Medical Assistant with experience in an Allergy
Injections experience
DUTIES:
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for the following:
Giving injections, mixing serums, giving allergy injections
Assisting physician and physician assistant in exam rooms
Escorting patients to exam rooms, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patients chart
Giving instructions to patients as instructed by physician or physician assistant
Ensuring all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in patients' medical records prior to their appointment
Keeping exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintaining instruments, preparing sterilization as required
Taking telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls
Triaging and processing messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistants
Maintaining all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)
All other duties as assigned by clinical coordinator or practice administrator
