The Aviation Maintenance CASS Consultant provides expert guidance, analysis, and oversight to ensure an air carrier's Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) and Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Practices (CAMP) are fully compliant, data-driven, and operationally effective. They'll support maintenance leadership by evaluating the performance of maintenance programs, identifying systemic issues, and recommending corrective actions that enhance safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. The Aviation Maintenance CASS Consultant - DMX works closely with Quality Assurance, Reliability, Engineering, SMS, and Maintenance Teams to enhance our continuous airworthiness processes and help keep our aircraft and our People flying with confidence.

Responsibilities
- Lead the assessment, development, and optimization of the SWA's Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) in accordance with FAA regulations and industry best practices.
- Analyze maintenance, reliability, and operational data to identify trends, deficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct audits, program reviews, and gap analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance programs and compliance with 14 CFR Part 121 requirements.
- Develop and present detailed reports, dashboards, and recommendations to senior leadership and regulatory stakeholders.
- Facilitate root cause analyses and support the creation of corrective action plans to address systemic issues.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Reliability, and Maintenance Control to ensure data accuracy, process alignment, and continuous improvement.
- Provide subject matter expertise during FAA interactions, external audits, and internal evaluations.
- Support the development and refinement of policies, procedures, and documentation related to CASS, reliability programs, and maintenance operations.
- Deliver training and mentorship to internal teams on CASS methodology, data interpretation, and regulatory expectations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- In-depth understanding of FAA regulations related to CASS, including 14 CFR Part 121.373.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs, reliability programs, and air carrier maintenance operations.
- Familiarity with Safety Management Systems (SMS), quality assurance principles, and risk-based oversight.
- Working knowledge of maintenance tracking systems, reliability software, and data analytics tools.
- Interpret complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills for reports, procedures, and regulatory correspondence.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Possess an internal drive to start and complete tasks, take initiative, work independently with minimal supervision, identify improvements, and consistently exceed expectations.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools, spreadsheets, and maintenance information systems.
- Ability to evaluate large-scale maintenance programs and identify systemic issues or inefficiencies.
- Ability to work independently as a consultant while building strong relationships with internal teams and leadership.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain regulatory awareness, and uphold the highest standards of safety and compliance.
- Ability to adapt to changing operational needs and provide solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
- Transport category maintenance
- Quality/Safety and/or airline industry Compliance/Regulatory
- Preferred: A&P license
- Preferred: Experience in aviation and Maintenix
Physical Abilities
- Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
- Ability to properly manage highly sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to travel with some overnight stays
Pay & Benefits: Competitive market salary ranges from $108,700 per year to $120,800 per year* depending on qualifications and experience, with opportunity for future pay increases based on performance and market movement.
