Summary

OneStream is searching for a Revenue Accountant II to join our Accounting team. The Revenue Accountant II will have strong expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition, GAAP financials, and multi-element arrangement (MEA) allocations. This role requires hands-on experience with contract accounting, journal entries, and revenue management systems, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities



  • Assist in preparation of the monthly financial package, including key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting.
  • Apply ASC 606 standards to revenue recognition across diverse contracts and arrangements.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP financial reporting requirements.
  • Perform MEA allocations and account for complex revenue streams.
  • Manage contract accounting, including accounting upon delivery and milestone-based recognition.
  • Prepare and post journal entries related to revenue, deferred revenue, and unbilled revenue.
  • Reconcile and maintain the balance sheet accounts related to revenue and contracts.
  • Work extensively with Sage Intacct, including the contracts module, to manage revenue processes.
  • Track and report on long-term and short-term deferred revenue balances.
  • Monitor and account for unbilled revenue, ensuring timely recognition and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Legal, Operations) to ensure contract terms are properly reflected in accounting.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including revenue reconciliations and reporting.
  • Assist with audits and provide documentation to support revenue recognition policies and practices.
  • Report and analyze key revenue metrics such as Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and Remaining Performance
  • Obligations (RPO), providing insights to management for forecasting and strategic decision-making.



Required Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or relevant work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in revenue accounting or related role.
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and GAAP financials.
  • Experience with MEA allocations and complex contract structures.
  • Proficiency in Sage Intacct (contracts module experience strongly preferred).
  • Solid understanding of deferred revenue (short-term and long-term) and unbilled revenue.



Preferred Education and Experience



  • Integration and configuration experience is a plus.
  • CPA or progress toward CPA certification preferred but not required

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally with customers.
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to remain flexible and adjust to changing priorities as needed.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills for data mining (with high volume transactions).
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and problem-solve.
