Duties, Responsibilities & Other

The Landscape Designer will assist in the design and management of landscape and irrigation projects. This role requires a solid understanding of landscape architecture principles, strong design skills, and the ability to work effectively with project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies. The Landscape Designer will support project execution, contribute to design development, and ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Assist in managing landscape and irrigation projects, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
* Collaborate with project team members, clients, and agencies to maintain project schedules and address project-related issues.
* Prepare detailed landscape and irrigation plans under the guidance of senior staff.
* Produce presentation and design graphics for client meetings and community presentations.
* Conduct site research and analysis to assess project feasibility, density, and constraints.
* Draft schematic land use, landscape/wetland mitigation, and forest stand delineation plans.
* Conduct field observations and assist in preparing detailed reports for review by senior staff.
* Perform field inspections, compare field data to design plans, and gather necessary data, such as measurements, sketches, and photographs.
* Participate in the review and preparation of shop drawings, ensuring design work meets company standards.
* Assist in ensuring projects meet ISO compliance requirements and participate in quality control reviews.
* Contribute to the preparation of research summaries, design calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for approval by senior staff.
* Attend bi-weekly or more frequent meetings with the project team to discuss project tasks and progress.
* Consult and coordinate with other practices as required to support project objectives.
* Assist in preparing presentations for clients, community groups, and public hearings.
* Represent the company at meetings with clients, county officials, and seminars as needed.
* Complete other duties as required or assigned.
* Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Required:
* Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from an accredited program.
* Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Preferred:
* Additional industry certifications
